Quite honestly, I get a kick out of those “GOP is divided! GOP IS DIVIDED!!!” stories from the partisan-Democrat liberal media.

Heck, our trusty Fourth Estate has been flogging that meme – incessantly – ever since Clinton eviscerated the Democrat Party back in 1994.

But for reasons which should be raTHer obvious, you hardly ever see the media explaining to the uninformed portion of the electorate that the “Party of the People” are bitterly divided on various issues too, such as, oh, merely the following:

Abortion.

National defense.

Death penalty.

Free trade.

Law enforcement.

Tax policies.

Euthanasia.

Education policies.

Health care policies.

But if the Senate Majority Leader has a different viewpoint from the President on the {wink, wink} “hot button issue” of stem cells, well, then the liberal media must go into high dudgeon mode, and, of course, perma-nervous, perpetually-pessimistic conservatives must thereby go into depression mode.

Yep.

But realizing the pace of the media/Democrat decline is steady, if not accelerating, the following conclusion certainly appears to be apt:

“And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually.”

Jimi didn’t realize it, but he wrote that verse about our “mainstream media” and its ability to influence public opinon.
