For some reason that link I gave doesn't take you to the September 30 news release. Yet when I go into their web-site via my favourites, I get it. I am copying and pasting, here it is:

More High-grade Gold Values From Pogo-area Properties Phase 2 Program Completed
Western Keltic Mines Inc. (WKM-VSE) and Rimfire Minerals Corporation (RFM-VSE) are pleased to announce that the Phase 2 exploration program on their jointly owned Alaskan Properties in east central Alaska has returned high-grade gold values from the Boundary and Southeast Surf areas. The properties are located in the Goodpaster Mining District, 140 kilometres southeast of Fairbanks and lie immediately east of the Teck Corporation and Sumitomo Metal Mining Pogo Property which hosts a 5.2 million ounce gold resource. The Phase 2 program, designed to follow-up favourable Phase 1 results obtained in the Boundary and Southeast Surf areas (Please see Press Release #5), consisted of prospecting, 46 line kilometres of grid surveying and the collection of 96 rock samples and 821 soil samples. Gold results from 53 rock samples have been received and, together with the work program, are summarized below: The Boundary Anomaly A grid was established in the Boundary area to effect survey control over an area where results of the Phase 1 work program identified a gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly almost 700 metres long and a talus sample of quartz vein material assayed 22.5 g/t (0.66 oz/ton) Au. A total of 472 soil and 54 rock samples were collected over a 3 kilometre by 3 kilometre area during the Phase 2 program. Gold results have been received for only 32 rock samples collected from this area and confirm that a significant gold zone is beginning to be delineated. Twenty-seven of the samples returned anomalous gold values, four of which returned gold values greater than 4.5 g/t (0.13 oz/ton) and two samples contained 24.8 g/t (0.72 oz/ton) and 18.5 g/t (0.54 oz/ton) Au, respectively. Most of the rock samples from this area consisted of quartz float containing arsenopyrite and lesser bismuthinite, important minerals associated with the type of mineralization found within the Pogo deposit. The Southeast Surf Anomaly A 2.8 kilometre by 3 kilometre grid was established in the Southeast Surf area where contour line soil samples from the Phase 1 program outlined a gold-in-soil geochemical anomaly extending from the southeast corner of the property for 4.5 kilometres to the northwest. A total of 349 soil and 42 rock samples were collected from this area. Gold results have been received for 21 of the rock samples and grades up to 4.6 g/t (0.13 oz/ton) have been obtained. Twenty of the samples yielded anomalous gold values with 4 samples returning gold values greater than 1.7 g/t (0.05 oz/ton). Western Keltic Mines and Rimfire Minerals are very encouraged by the results of the early stage exploration programs on the properties. The 1999 exploration program was successful in identifying high-grade gold in quartz veins coupled with a style of mineralization, and alteration similar to that observed at the Pogo deposit. Exploration programs have continued to advance specific targets, namely the Boundary and Southeast Surf areas, and numerous other anomalies remain to be followed-up next season. Additional soil and rock sample results are pending and it is anticipated that a complete compilation of results will be available by the end of October. The properties are owned jointly with Rimfire Minerals Corporation. Western Keltic can earn up to an additional 30 % interest in the properties by issuing shares and conducting mineral exploration. Barrick Gold Corporation has a financing and option agreement with Western Keltic under which Barrick may earn up to a 51% interest in the properties.
