When did that change? When the SC justices appointed by Bush wanted to give corporations more power and influence in American politics. I seem to recall some criticism about activist judges going beyond the strict limits of the Constitution, the laws as Congress intended them to function, etc. and creating their own legal standards out of whole cloth. Didn't that come from the right? Maybe I am confused on that point..... Everybody loves purity until they have a cause to serve, then watch 'em bend and break those principles as required. That's where big government conservatism was born.
