Rod,

Re:<< Second computers and replacement of older computers are becoming a very large part of the market and those are the people willing to wait if they see new technology just over the horizon.>>

I, along with about 50 million others, if you believe the numbers I have seen published, are still using 486 and earlier generation computers. I run my own business from home and have for the last 13 years. I have been waiting for a long time to upgrade to something with features that I finally decided that I couldn't live without any longer.

Until now, nothing has made me want to upgrade from my 486-66 Win3.1 system. Not the original Pentium, not the faster Pentium, not the PPRO, not Windows 95 - not anything - yet. I am VERY conservative when something works. What I have works very, very well for me. I like to keep it that way.

The new features that are already here and that I can see coming have convinced me that this will be the year I upgrade. Without being specific as to the exact system I'll choose, there is no way that I would even consider any other than an Intel chip. I think that most - probably over 90% - of the other 50 million probably feel the same way I do. FWIW.

Barry
