in 1990 to more than 40% in 1995.  EMC 
still owns 50% of what is expected to be
a $2B market this year.

Enterprise Storage -- Mainframe Storage +
Open Systems.

EMC took the lead in open systems in 
mid-1996.  Crossover between Mainframe
Symmetrix revenue and Open Systems 
Symmetrix revenue occurred in mid-1997.

Enterprise Storage Networks --
Mainframe Storage + Open Systems + SAN/NAS

EMC took the lead in SAN in 1999 and 
expects to lead NAS by end of 2001. 
Crossover between Open Systems Symmetrix
and SAN/NAS occurred sometime in 2H2000.
