Don't insert a long unbreakable line (e.g., your line of hyphens) to eliminate ragged long lines--narrow the source window (displaying the text you're copying from) before copying the text.

Sticking in a long unbreakable line makes the message wider than normal. That affects everyone reading the message (requiring a wider window than standard SI messages, or horizontal scrolling).
