Does anyone have any idea as to exactly what is Strathcona's mandate?

My understanding is that it is not their mandate to say whether or not

Bre-X has found 70.95 million ounces.

Would someone who knows please enlighten us as to what we can expect to hear from Strathcona on the 29th or 30th of April.
