I believe there is a limit on the share price buyback. Can someone get a reconfirm from Creative ? It is probably 5% above 5 day moving average of closing prices.

Also, from the standpoint of a Singaporean, these tax free dividends don't bother me at all. Perhaps the tax laws can be changed in the US?
Just kidding. We know that's not possible. But the American citizen definitely loses out by having these types of tax issues. Blame the tax law, don't blame Creative.

Do remember that the dividend payments will help Creative get trustee status next year in Singapore and thereby open the shares to new demand which in turn will be good for the share price on a sustained basis. Why ? Because CPF money tends to be longer term.

Personally, I remain very very comfortable with the shares. Its still very undervalued and going up IMHO.
