GCO bucked the down trend as it closed UP .25 to $14.25. Seven analysts follow this company. Here is the latest eps estimates that I have from SI: qtr ending 07/97 - Mean .10 Range ( .09 to .11 ) qtr ending 10/97 - Mean .32 Range ( .31 to .33 ) year ending 01/98 Mean .83 Range ( .82 to .84 ) Should see some upgrades given GCO's earnings surprise achieved during the last qtr ( .08 versus .04 ) * I am expecting .16 for the 07/97 qtr * I am expecting .42 for the 10/97 qtr * For the Year ending 01/98 . . Look for $1.22 or higher DC
