PDM will not save the day for anybody in this market. Their are too many 3rd party companies whose PDM products are vastly superior to the built in offerings by any CAD vendor. As I understand it PTC's PDM product is merely a hook allowing other PDM products to have access to the Pro/E database. This should not be viewed as a stategic advantage.
