M&T Bank Executive Vice President Adam Kugler exercises options for 30,000 shares

NEW YORK (AP) -- The executive vice president and treasurer of regional bank M&T Bank Corp. exercised options for 30,000 shares of common stock, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In Form 4s filed with the SEC Tuesday, Adam C. Kugler reported exercising the options on Friday for $75.80 apiece, then selling 28,681 shares on the same day for $90.46 to $90.88 apiece.

Kugler also surrendered 1,104 shares back to the company for $90.66 apiece.

Insiders can surrender shares as a way to cover either taxes or the cost of exercising options.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

M&T Bank is based in Buffalo, N.Y.
