Its PanelLink chip technology is used in the design of all-digital display interfaces for cellular phones, other handheld computing devices, and laptop computers. PanelLink technology lets a device transmit data to a display digitally, increasing image resolution and reducing manufacturing costs. In December Hitachi developed its first all-digital desktop PC display using PanelLink.
