We see the same thing here. 17 years ago, when me moved to our house, this was an out of the way bedroom community of SF. House prices have quadrupled since then. I don't know who can afford them. I know young teachers in the area now have to push further out from the Bay Area to find housing- and they end up driving horrible commutes.

I find produce has really gone through the roof- at least in our area.

The number of foreclosures in our area is rising steadily.
