White Sands is the test center for lasers, high-energy microwaves, and other directed energy technologies. White Sands supports research into a variety of energies that might be transformed into future weapons systems. In-house technology exists to generate high-power microwave radiation, propagate it to a target, assess target effects and system response, and demonstrate effectiveness and utility of compact high-power microwave systems integrated into various platforms.
