Last year I purchased a new stove to replace one that was worn out. After it was delivered, I knew I couldn't install it with my cabinets as faded as they were. So I did that side of the kitchen. I need to do the other side of the kitchen now. :) I'm using MinWax Wood Finish (Special Walnut 224) and the Spar that was recommended. I did have the foresight to get enough stain from the same lot to finish the job. Glad to hear you will be closing on the cabin property. It sounds like a great retreat based on your description. I found out yesterday the taxes on my country property were going up 25% and a couple of hours later I got a call from a friend whose sister in law that is down at the lake knows some people that want to buy my land. There's not much chance of that. Your remodel sounds extensive. I assume you plan to do all this before moving in. You've obviously thought this out very well. * * *
