From looking at the Globe, it appears to me that the short position change of 8 million took place from Jan 15 - Jan 31. Volume in Westmin was strong for most of month of January and is continuing in Feb. Check out the Stockwatch graph. In addition to the price of copper and zinc scaring the shorts, we should see drilling in the Yukon start up again soon. Last year they announced drilling started again on April 1st. So far they have 5.3 million tonnes outlined on the Wolverine project, this season should increase that even more.
