i, too, am curious as to the ramifications for pixar. as i see it there are basically three options. 1. status quo, business as usual for all those at pixar with jobs managing things from afar. i mean after all, how much input does jobs give regarding the creative developement of bugs. he is a technician, not an artist.
2. he sells off pixar to disney. basically pixar is a cash cow for disney now, and could continue to be so. the acquisition would add to disney's ability to produce more animation films per year, which has been the major force behind disney's financial success as of late.
3. jobs roles pixar into apple as he did with neXt gen. pixar could evolve as a software developer for apple and the film division could be sold off. pixar could develope and market apple cd rom and other quality software for apple. this would address one of the main complaints about apple-- the lack of sufficient and quality software for that type of OS. let me know what your thoughts are.
