Fred, I too am a little perplexed by the recent weakness in the stock given the strong fundamentals that you mentioned. The people I know who work at Accustaff are always telling me about how their business is booming and how they are continuing to grow through acquisition. The industry is definitely consolidating and Accustaff will continue to be one of the major forces behind this change because of their size, financial strength and growth bias.

I do know that another Temp agency recently reported some problems and this may have spread to ASI.

I also know that money managers do a lot of money reshuffling this time of year, and it could very well be that a big firm like Fidelity is liquidating their position for some reason.

All in all, spending on IT, which is ASI's growth engine is continuing to soar, and given ASI's lack of exposure to the more risky areas (e.g. PC hardware), I would think that it won't take long for this stock for rebound. Given the difficulty that many large cap companies will likely have meeting their 1998 earnings goals given the Asian flu, I think ASI will look increasingly attractive after earnings come out.
