That shows in very clear terms the value Chretien places on the relationship with the U.S. I can't believe I'm agreeing with Mulroney, but his comments last week were absolutely right on. It's one thing to have differences of principle -- although the current Liberal party wouldn't recognize a genuine principle if it sat naked in the caucus room -- but to fling school-yard taunts is pure contempt.
