dppl, Correct me if I wrong (and I'm sure you will), but I thought Zitel bought this part of Matridigm over a year ago. At that time, Matridigm probably had no ideal they would have such a hot product. I understood that Matirdigm just needed the seed money. Looks to me like Zitel just walked into a super deal. As for BRC and their 7 percent, I also thought this was purchased in the summer several months ago, yet just recently announced. No matter what, it appears that Matridigm does have something that will work and is marketable for the year 2000 problem. If it's the silver bullet, nobody knows. The bottom line is, they appear to have a very good product. One would think the stock will do as good as someone like VIAS, if not better. If that's the case, there's a good chance the stock price will go the same direction as VIAS. VIAS increase 10 to 12 dollars within 6 days of their split. The short position will help the price increase faster. This 25 to 30 percent short position makes a squeeze very probably. As somebody said before, the risk is offset by the great rewards. Sure, going long, I have the possibilty of losing maybe 70 percent of my investment. Going short and not covering, you and others have the possibility to lose much much more. It could come a time that it would be impossible to cover a short position. Just my opinion and why I plan to stay long. If you short Zitel, that's fine. It's all in the game. Time will tell for all of us. Have a good weekend of what's left of it.
