Network

======================================================================
PLANO, Texas, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- CNET Inc., a division of Glenayre
Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:GEMS), announced today that its integrated
operational support system solution, CNET OPTIONS(TM), will be used to manage
and optimize Conecel's cellular network in Ecuador.
CNET OPTIONS unites CNET's network management, RF propagation and traffic
analysis capabilities and leverages the combined package into a complete
business analysis tool. This will allow vital information that will optimize
business performance to be accessible across multiple areas of the carrier's
organization, including engineering, operations, marketing, sales, customer
service and finance. This provides a complete end-to-end view of an operator's
business from basic information, such as network utilization, to complex
information outlining the quality a carrier is providing an individual
customer.
"Conecel selected CNET because of the unique power of their integrated
tool set," said Conecel's Presidente del Directorio Carlos Mosquera. "CNET
OPTIONS will enable us to build and manage our network more efficiently while
at the same time optimizing our network performance. It will also enable us to
leverage critical network information in every area of our business."
"CNET is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Conecel on the
expansion of their network and their business. CNET OPTIONS is unique in the
industry. It enables wireless carriers to take a more proactive approach to
managing their organizations, not just managing their networks," said Dan
Case, president of Glenayre's Integrated Network Group. "This continues our
commitment to supporting wireless operators throughout the world with leading
edge technology to take them into the 21st century."
Conecel is the leading provider of cellular telecommunications in the

optimize their infrastructure investment, reduce costs, acquire and retain
customers and aggressively compete in the exploding wireless marketplace. CNET
