Is it a platitude in the face of what was an attempt at a serious discussion on my part? I don't think I'll ever understand why you are so distrustful of me. Let's review. You were talking about "triangulation." I just read over it lightly. When you said that "triangulation" was an effort to explain faith in a way that those who don't have it can understand, I gave it a serious look. I thought we were having a serious discussion in which we were looking for common ground. I expressed that your "triangulation" resonated with me, that I do much the same thing, but I do it without a deity and prophet. You questioned how and why one might strive and struggle for righteousness outside a religious construct. I offered that one could be motivated to righteousness with or without it--that the "triangulation" process is the same. That's when you reacted like I had bitten you. So that's where we are as it looks from where I sit. And if so, what does your original statement mean? Wanna try again? Your choice. If so, tell me which original statement you're talking about and I'll try to rephrase. Karen
