To All: Need some info on current and pending ADSL services.
I need to know whose ADSL modems are being used in the following commercial
offerings (InterAccess, CADVision, GTE, MFS, etc). I'm mainly interested in going long on WSTL, since now is an opportune time with the stock at the lower end of its trading range.

The article lists current providers of xDSL services. Two current ADSL service
providers are listed:
1. InterAccess, Chicago, 1.5Mbps/64Kbps, $200/month (home) and $1000/month
(LAN)
2. CADVision, Calgary, 2Mbps/500Kbps, $53/month
The article also states,
"For example, this month MFS Communications Company, Inc. plans to launch an
xDSL service that, by year-end, is expected to be available in 200 ponts of presence
thoughout the United States."
"GTE Corp. is expected to launch a commercial ADSL service as early as next month.
Bell Atlantic Corp., US West Inc., and others plan to follow by midyear. GTE
estimates that its 1.5Mbps ADSL service will cost between $40 and $100 per month
depending on access speeds. Bell Atlantic also anticipates a $40- to $50-per-month
service charge."
