I read many years ago at this point about a guy trying to build a concrete block home in nowhereville Alaska. He looked into shipping by the usual construction hauler methods, then found that the post office would do it for a much lower cost....so he shipped each block individually by USPS by air mail to the final destination. The USPS and taxpayers took a huge bath on that one.
