John, you are a mine of information ! From a very brief scan of the info on that link, I would agree that Millicent is a purely Web-based e-payment solution with no hardware metering capabilities. (hurrah !) By the way - FWIW - the guy who first made me aware of Wave is in the telecoms hardware business and he had a meeting with a couple of the strategic comms people at British Telecom recently. During a discussion about what will be driving the comms market in the future, they (obviously) were talking about e-commerce and without prompting started talking about Wave Systems and Wave-enabled content etc. I guess this may be because of the Global Wave thing but it is interesting to hear where Wave pops up.
