On the contrary, when I read this, it was with a feeling of relief! That the plaintiff settled that low and out of court seems to indicate its own concern about the strength of the case. Also 500K to avoid extended litigation in such a high profile case with so much risk isn't that great an amount. Companies often resolve suits in this way, even when they feel there's no culpability. You make a good case for their reasoning.
