my position is not to supply alcohol to minors.

I can well understand that. But my somewhat limited experience of dealing with 18 year old college first year students for almost thirty years including the last ten of which when I lived in a first year dorm three nights a week, was that the kids most likely to have serious alcoholic problems were one's whose parents had prohibited it at home. When alcohol was somewhat domesticated around the house, obviously parents not alcoholics, just social drinkers, the kids handled the freedoms of that first year and the abundance of alcohol better. This generalization was, obviously, not a perfect fit.

But during those ten years living in the dorm I must have dealt with three heavy drinking problems a year.
