I was curious and took a look at:

The multispan product seems to be of help to big companies who wish to manage large numbers of modem ports. It takes a customer modem connection and makes sure that it is treated well. Employee connections come after customers in priority. System distinguishes between cust and empl because they use separate phone numbers (but only two numbers needed).

I was looking for voice calls going over IP networks, but it seemed that only internet/data calls were routed to IP networks.

Seems like Bridgewater folks know a lot about SS7 signalling. This is important if you want to route voice calls over an ATM network.
