For example he pretty much told California to handle their power problem themselves as they are the most familiar with it and the cause of it... Environmentally, what's wrong with the states mandating their own solutions? This is how California cleaned up their air in the seventies...as cars sold in California had to have cleaner burning engines... Now California will have to decide what kind of new power plants they want to build...or what surcharges they will stick on power bills to curb consumption. If you're fearful of drilling the AWR, I agree...but the public will not accept the alternative...they want cheap gas for those SUVs... Jim
