Thanks Lee for leading me to the source. Here is an interesting bit of info on the weight of the CPI. It states that the weighted information was as old as 15 years but they are working to make it only 2 years old in the future. So my point in initial post stands. The government is dealing with outdated weightings and the so called experts are giving advise as though they are so sure of themselves. Of course we all realize they are using it to manipulate in their favor and it's legal! What a racket! stats.bls.gov TTOSBT
