My sentiments exactly.

Intel's push of RAMBUS was INSTRUMENTAL in getting the other DRAM makers off their collective asses - and come up with alternative high speed memory architectures.

If it wasn't for RAMBUS, these DRAM makers would probably still be stuck at EDO or FPM speeds.

The net result - Intel HAS MOVED the industry forward, although Intel's initial choice - RAMBUS - may not be the ultimate solution.
