I have no doubt that Republicans will, one day, pay for it, and the Kavanaugh hearing was the first piece of that repayment. But the Republicans were well within their prerogative in the advise and consent function. And I have no doubt a Chuck Schumer in the same position would have done precisely the same thing.

You really don't want to have a pissing contest about which party is more evil.

That really isn't the constitutional process. The Senate can do exactly what McConnell did.
