Agreed. This is the direction I'd like to see the country go. I do think we should not require everyone to have coverage that goes beyond the basics. The current healthcare bills are problematic in that regard. Yep. This will impact small business owners and the self-employed/independent contractors really hard. I agree the Rs can be jerks, but they represent states that have a disproportionate number of citizens that fall in the groups. States like yours or the industrial states of the northeast have large and medium corporations that can hammer decent health insurance coverage from the insurers.
