Amazon Shares Fall As Analyst Expresses Concerns on Retail Slowdown, Competition

NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares in Amazon.com Inc. fell Thursday after an Oppenheimer & Co. analyst said a broad retail slowdown and competition from eBay Inc. could hurt the online retailer.

Amazon's shares fell $2.58, or 3.6 percent, to $68.29 in afternoon trading. In the past year, Amazon has traded between $37.04 and $101.09.

AMZN -72.49 intraday looks like Friday. Avoiding a rumor du jour, it should close at 69.50 area or open there tomorrow
