Amy,

re:"That's great. What do you think about buying puts on high-tech stocks as a way to generate a premium to possibly buy more shares? I've been writing covered calls, which isn't as ST bearish as buying puts (but am doing this to increase shares for LT) and am thinking about doing this for CSCO at a low strike price"

I hope you mean sell puts and not buy?

Overall selling out of money puts is not a bad strategy.

I think elmer does a lot of that.

just remember a strike price that you would be deliriously happy to own the stock!!!

remember you can sell puts and calls too.

Many options on options.

Just be carefull and they pay off great.

regards,

Kash
