Emile, investors have there money in a variety of stocks, and therefore they should be safe from margin calls since the overall market is fine. The small group who have all their eggs in one basket are gamblers, not investors. Presumably they are aware of employing an all-or-nothing strategy, so shed no tears for them. When they gamble, sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. And if they gamble their life savings and lose, you really don't need to feel sorry for them. Carl
