Doug I had a similar thing happen to me some time ago.
This is how I was told to fix it.

I am new myself but I would suggest the following: Right click start button/then left click explorer/go to windows file and click start menu/then click programs/finally you can click on the "start up" file, this is where you put things to start up when you boot.It may be the program and not a copy so just drag it to another file and use the move command so you won't loose it and see what happens........word of advise I am new also.
