"american people" I am a critical guy by nature, but I am impressed by "american people" at the moment. Nobody is perfect, but I think we are learning. We have terrorism and serious issues connected to terrorism. I believe that a growing number of people see the need to address both. I am delighted by the ability I see in Washington to pause and think things through before taking action which could make things worse -- and I see the "american people" as willing to give their leadership the discretion needed to make good decisions. This is going to be difficult -- but it could already be a whole lot worse. Lets keep our heads on our shoulders.
