It is pretty obvious that pumping a lot of cash into consumers pockets is going to cause inflation. Try taking a basic economics class to understand.

Is it your assumption that there will not be sufficient supply to meet this demand?

The economy sank into a recession the year after Reagan's tax cut, and of course there was no inflation.

Are you now saying that tax cut will cause recession? I thought just a second ago you were worried about the economy overheating and inflation.

We did however get a big bump in the deficit which prompted Reagan to implement a huge increase in Social Security taxes.

I give up. The deficit prompted increase in Social Security taxes? I guess the fact that the ponzi scheme called Social Security was on the verge of collapse had nothing to do with it.

The Social Security Tax increase just moved the collapse of the ponzi scheme a few years into the future.
