A lot of people like you who were very involved in the anti-Vietnam demonstrations will admit now that some of the crowd they were associated with went to far.

Well, yes and no. The days of rage in Chicago by the Dylan song crowd that won't come to mind, certainly were; the bombing certainly was. But the principle certainly wasn't. And anyone who tries to read that movement via its mistakes makes a terrible mistake themselves. All movements have them. Come up with some of the classic mistakes, name whatever you like, of the social conservatives and you will see the problem.

I repeat what I've typed ad nauseum here. Us/them approaches to politics are the curse of our political period. Period.
