My point was directed at the comment that JD Edwards was lagging.

It seems to me that the fast growth in the ERP sector can be broken down into the demand from high-end Fortune 500 companies and then, down the ladder, into the vast majority of companies that are going to be shopping very competitively among the vendors. The obvious challenge to SAP, given that the lion's share of revenue is up-for-grabs in the mid-tier & small company market, is to provide simple, flexible, attractively priced solutions to these markets.. JDEC will be competitive as will other vendors who have historically demonstrated effective solutions for smaller companies.

The SAP, JDEC argument is a bit APPLES & ORANGES!
