" Bird in the hand" profit taking stories? That I have, Gus. MYOHMYOHMY! Funny but everything was looking up with each company when I sold. But they had been really volatile, or I was nervous about the general market, or they had been flat awhile and I lost patience etc. A few of many examples .. numbers not split adjusted ...some took years to play out ..some only a few months.... Stock - Purchase Price - Sale Price - Went to HDYN - 8 - 7.75 - 32+ ( spinoffs and takeover) ABIG - 17.625 - 22 - 52 THI - 21.625 - 32 - 117 MRV - 24.625 - 30 - 60+ ( in 4 months.pre-collapse) BMCS - 42.5 - 62.75 - 190+ CAMP - 3.75 - 10 - 95+ ( in the next 10 months) Clever eh? Occasionally I've sold near the top, but in each of those cases business had pretty clearly peaked. I hope these and other expensive mistakes have taught me that picking good stocks is only half the battle .... and I hope memory of them will keeper me in AXC for something close to the full potential of the ride.
