What about the argument that their is no chipsets for DMT from neither TI, nor NEC, nor, MOT, while LU is making the chipset for CAP for quite a while. How you could be shure that these Semi giants will spend lots of money developing these chipsets if RBOCs demonstrate no interest in ADSL?
