I recommend you go to lasereye.com for LASIK vs PRK info.

Also, go buy "BEYOND GLASSES" by Franette Armstrong. Great book on all types of laser vision correction.

LASIK is basically PRK with a flap. They each have their risks and benefits. I chose PRK, and had a great outcome. I'm recommending it to all my friends and relatives.

But make sure your pupils dilate to no more than 6.5mm in darkness (like most people), or you'll have starbursts at night for decades no matter which method you use, LASIK or PRK.
