Hello Andy,

Now you knew I wasn't going to let this one get by without a reply RIGHT!!!!!!!!! So now I'm old with a white beard?????? Coal for you!!!!!!

Only kidding..... My point was to point out that RS & EPS are not universally the same... In fact, everyone out there should be very careful about indicators and systems because they are also not universally the same. You can put up OBV in TC2000, WOW and MSWIN and get different results... The same could be true for RSI... The differences should not be too great BUT they are there all the same..

The above is not a problem as long as you are consistent. If you are using OBV in TC2000 and you are getting good results you should not be worried about how your system would do in MSWIN or WOW.. You are using TC2000 and that's the only thing that matters to you... The same is true for RS and EPS rankings.

The RS and EPS ranking from TC2000 are very different from the ones in IBD and I have found that IBD's are much better.... That does not mean that you should only use IBD's but they are the best I have seen so far....

I agree that automation is very, very important BUT if I can get better results by doing some manual work once every week or so ....

I can only comment on the rankings from TC2000 and IBD as they are the only ones I know. QP may have better ones or ones that are at least comparable to IBD's but I would check them out before using them as my only solution.

One way to check the ranking is to start listing STRONG stocks and checking the various rankings. I have found many IBD rankings in the 90's that would fail my scan in TC2000. Are they closer in QP??? Look at the Weekly Review in IBD and see what their charts look like. Now look at these same rankings using another service. Are they also ranked highly by them?????

The bottom line is not what service we use but what results we get!!!

ps... If it were up to me all TA'ers would get everything they ever wanted for Christmas... No coal in any baskets.... Dave Evans
