This is one of the reasons that I personally feel that Nokia must succeed in cdmaOne/cdam2000.

CDMA IS the dominant mobile wireless technology in the States, and it is imperative that Nokia gain some market share here in that technology, or the brand recognition thing could go out the window, along with the stock ownership thing.

Nokia stated last week that every CDMA handset they launched next year would be 1xRTT enabled.

The darned things better work ... and work well.
