should have been more precise myself -- Posse Comitatus prohibits the use of the US military inside the US for the purpose of law enforcement. There are exceptions, which were laid out, I thought, at the Northcom.mil url I linked.

That link is but one opinion...and a limited one at that.

For starters, it would be better to read the act yourself...a suggestion you made to me.

There have been many exceptions to the Act. Some were in place in the past, others are in place now...and still others are "kinda" pre-approved for possible future scenarios.

My intent was not to sharpshoot...
I thought mentioning two agents who were assassinated might have stirred up a memory for you because it happened in Louisiana.

I don't know what kind of coverage it got because I was overseas at the time.
