Recreate 68 Protests Protest Site

DENVER (MyFOXColorado.com) - The group Recreate 68 says it is protesting its designated protest area.

Recreate 68 spokesman Mark Cohen pulled out a bullhorn and addressed a small group of protesters gathered at the designated protest area in parking lot "A" outside the Pepsi Center.

"We're being treated by the City of Denver and the Secret Service like political prisoners," Cohen said. "You saw how we came here... being routed through the campus by fences and barricades so that there is absolutely no chance that any of the delegates at the Pepsi Center would see that there are people out here expressing their concerns about the issues of the day."

He also said that the protesters were behind a media tent, which he described as the size of a supermarket.

Cohen said the small group of protesters would stay for just a couple of minutes to express the disgust about the situation, and then leave and not return to that designated protest location.
