teevee,

I believe you are right on target when you say the oil-supply prevents the US from withdrawal from Iraq.

The problem is that the Bush-administration have to come up with a plausible story to explain the US-public but also the rest of the planet that the US invaded Iraq :
- to help 'the people of Iraqi' achieve freedom or whatever,
- to find WMD who are not there,
- because Iraq/Saddam was behind 9/11, which Richard Clarke learned us to be total b*llsh*t,

and now that all these goals proved to be fake or unachievable he have to explain the US cannot leave Iraq because it would endanger the oil-supply, a (the!) strategic goal they never mentioned before the invasion.

To make things worse, they have to come with such a story when Bush' credibility has both reached historic lows both inside and outside the US.

Luckily we have the 'War on terror tour' were George W. will tell you in one or two simple one-liners how he will do it when you give him another 4 year.

The same one-liners that brought the US the biggest guagmire since Vietnam.

Good luck at the next elections.

Regards,

Paul
