If you don't have WINWORD.EXE on your disk, you don't have the file of executable code needed to run Word. This package is not part of Win98, so it wouldn't be on your Win98 CD.

The mystery is where your Word executable (and supporting) files have gone. Did you un-install it or FORMAT your disk?

If your Word program files have disappeared, you'll need to install them from floppy or CD. If you have the Product ID and the CD, the task is extremely easy and quick.

One last (desparate) suggestion: Click Start/Run ... and type WINWORD into the 'Open:' box.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. Pssssst! You could borrow a Word, or Office, CD. As long as you have the proper Product ID, it should install. I'm sure Microsoft won't mind such a tiny bit of perfidy.
